The yeast infection (also known as candidiasis) is a common infection caused by a fungus
Candida albicans.
Yeast infections usually occur in warm, moist body as wetlands of the mouth and
skin. When infection of the vagina known as vulvovaginal candidiasis. Vaginal
infections are common among growing girls. About 75% of all women have a yeast
infection at some point in their lives.
These infections can cause pain, itching, redness, thick white vaginal
discharge, painful urination and sometimes whitish patches on the skin of the

area clean and dry.

Cause
Candida is usually found in small amounts in the skin and in the tract, mouth, esophagus and vagina without causing disease. The amount of yeast in the body of a person in a state controlled by a healthy immune system and some "good" bacteria.
Symptoms appear when the yeast grows in the body and causes infection. For example, if a person's immune system is weakened (due to illness or medications such as chemotherapy or steroids), candida in the vagina can multiply and cause symptoms of yeast infection.

Yeasts can grow in moist, dark, so clothing (especially underwear) that is too tight or made of materials like nylon that trap heat and humidity can cause yeast infections.
As women mature and reach puberty, hormonal changes may be more susceptible to yeast infections - sometimes girls get yeast infections right before their periods. Pregnant women are also more susceptible to yeast infections. The girl who does not go through puberty, but tend to get a yeast infection, but can occur. So if your child complains of itching or discomfort in the vaginal area, it is important to talk with your doctor.
Yeast infections can occur at any girl, and do not consider sexually transmitted infections - although they can spread from one partner to another.
